If you are someone who lives in one of the smaller houses or apartments in the city, then you should know one this cardinal rule: Every space has to be given a purpose. Nearly everything should double into something.

However, despite the need for practicality, that does not mean that you have to keep your house bare and boring. If you really do not have much wall space for large paintings or decorative pieces you can always go for decors that also serve a function.
To give you an idea, here are some metal wall hangings that are both beautiful and functional.
1. Wrought Iron Wall Clocks
These beautiful items can give you a lot of reasons why you should start ditching your old wall clocks. For one, since these time pieces are made of metal, they are much more durable that those that are made of plastic or wood. 2. Wrought Iron Wine Racks
If you know where to look, you can find iron wall art that can also double as a wine rack. Since they are made to be displayed on walls they can only carry 3 to 6 pieces of wine bottles at a time. In terms of design, the patterns that they bear are mostly limited to leaves and vines to pay homage to the grapes from where the wines were made.
3. Metal Wall Hooks
These are not the ghastly hooks that you get from the hardware stores and screw casually on your walls. These metal wall hooks are forged from wrought iron and they bear the most interesting designs like the elegant fleur – de – lis, geometric shapes and delicate curve patterns.
They are perfect to be put at the back of your doors to hold your keys. If you want you can hang them inside the cabinet to hold your belts or, you can have them be mounted along hallways and use them as a coat hanger for your guests. If that is not enough, you can even place them in your kitchen to hang your pots, pans and other cooking utensils.
